Local Community Services

We offer various services within your own home, designed to make life a little easier for older people. We currently offer this service within a 3 mile radius of Moorland Courts in Melbourn and 2 mile radius of Histon Road and Wulfstan Way in Cambridge.

You can call 01763 260564 to discuss your individual needs. If you are paying for services yourself, these can be arranged directly with our team. If you think you are eligible for Social Services funding you will need to have an assessment via the Cambridge Contact Centre which we can help you with. You would be eligible for help if your assets are less than £23,250 (including housing) however, each case is different and individually assessed.

These services can include:

  • CHS Homecare – our fully trained carers visit you in your home
  • Laundry – washing/ironing tasks can be completed during the home visit
  • Shopping – we can either shop for you or help you shop online
  • Sitting Service – a visit from our experienced staff gives family carers time for themselves
  • Day Centre – based at Moorlands Court with friendly and sociable atmosphere and includes a home cooked two course lunch
  • Meals Service – nutritious, hot lunch time meal delivered to your door
