PERMANENT 35 hours per week
Salary: £28,090.80 p.a.
What you’ll do
We currently have an exciting newly created role within Langdon House.
Working collaboratively with the Care Home Manager, you will manage the day-to-day organisation and business needs of the Home, having overall responsibility for the catering and housekeeping service.
You will foster a working culture, fitting with CHS Values, inspiring your team to deliver an effective and high quality service at all times. You will achieve this by being a positive role model, leading, training and developing your team and coaching individuals to reach their full potential.
You will also assist the Care Home Manager to innovate and develop new income streams within the local community, as well as assisting with the monitoring and management of agreed budgets.
You will be the Home’s lead for the recruitment and selection of all Care Home employees, corporate management systems, monthly reporting, KPI’s, mandatory training and quality assurance.
In the absence of the Care Home Manager you will take overall responsibility and accountability for the day-to-day running of the Home, with support from other CHS Registered Managers as and when required
A genuine desire to make a positive contribution from day one, with an emphasis on customer focus.
Proven track record of leading and developing a team ideally in a catering and/or housekeeping service; adapting a practical approach to achieve individual, team and corporate results.
Able to manage conflicting deadlines effectively and make sound decisions confidently and timely with minimal supervision.
An effective communicator with both colleagues and customers alike, with the ability to effectively manage and respond to customer feedback. Identifying practical and creative solutions to continuously improve services and increase opportunities for service development.
At least 3 years office experience, specifically reviewing and developing business services, ideally in the Health and Social Care environment.
A relevant management qualification is desirable.
