We’re pleased to share that we’re working with EDF to install smart meters for the communal electricity supplies in our buildings.
The new smart meters will provide more accurate billing, simplify our processes, and help manage costs more effectively — all without affecting your personal electricity supply.
Please note: This meter swap only applies to the communal electricity meters. Meters inside individual homes will not be affected.
With these new smart meters, our suppliers will receive real-time data on communal electricity usage. This means fairer, more accurate billing based on actual use — not estimates. It will also help us forecast costs more reliably, which supports better annual budget setting .
Ultimately, this means service charges will be more transparent and accurate, helping to reduce billing errors and unnecessary queries.
The installation process is quick and designed to keep disruption to a minimum. There will only be a short power interruption in communal areas while the meter is swapped.
Over the coming months, you may see EDF installers working in your communal areas. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask them for their ID. You can also contact us on 0300 111 3555 to confirm their identity or for more information.
