Housing and Care Services for Older People

Housing and care services for older people

At CHS Group we recognise that as people get older they often want a home that is more manageable and provides security, support and peace of mind to the individual and their family. Providing care and support for older people is at the heart of what we do. We deliver a high standard of rented social housing (and residential care beds) in well maintained, attractive settings. We also offer the skills of our experienced housing officers to support you through your tenancy, and if necessary, we have highly trained teams of carers who can help you stay independent for as long as possible.

We offer:

Care Homes – Residential Care Homes offering 24 hour personal care and support

Housing With Care – independent living with 24hr on-site care and support

Sheltered (Retirement) Housing – independent living with communal facilities

Local Community Services – domiciliary services delivered at home within the community

CHS Care Homes in Cambridgeshire

Making the right choice is important when selecting a home. Being ‘at home’ in comfortable surroundings and confident in the team of staff who will be there to offer care and support when needed will make life easier. CHS Group recognises the right of people to be treated with fairness, respect and dignity at all stages of their lives. We all value choice in our day to day activities, and residents are encouraged to play an active part in the running of the home, express their opinions, and where necessary support is provided to residents to enable them to maintain their independence. It is important that residents treat Vera James House, Langdon House or Alex Wood House as they would their own home, carrying on their own lifestyles as before, knowing they have the support and care of our dedicated staff.
