Care Quality Commission Reports
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
CQC regulate care provided by the NHS, local authorities, care agencies and voluntary organisations. CQC aims to make sure better care is provided for everyone – in hospitals, care homes and people’s own homes. CQC also seek to protect the interests of people whose rights are restricted under the Mental Health Act.
Under the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 CHS is registered with the Care Quality Commission as a provider of adult social care services. This registration includes our three registered care homes Alex Wood House, Langdon House, Vera James House, and our Domiciliary Care Agency – CHS Homecare.
More information about the work of the Commission can be found on the CQC website or by contacting the national contact centre on 03000 616161.
